But…Where To Stay in Cyprus?
Here are some handy tips to have in mind:
- For beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters: Ayia Napa, Protaras
- For being close to all the bars, restaurants, shops, and nightlife: Nicosia (it’s the capital of the island and the town with the most grocery stores, shops and nightclubs)
- For stunning sunsets and charming atmosphere: Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca
- For equally beautiful sunsets and coastal views (without the massive crowds): Polis, Coral Bay, Governor’s Beach
- For being closer to popular beach resorts and amenities: Larnaca, Ayia Napa, Limassol
- For being close to the famous Petra tou Romiou but still have coastal views: Paphos (but it’s a 20-30 mins drive from Limassol-city)
- For being closer to the Troodos Mountains and picturesque villages (but not worried about the famous coastal views): Platres, Kakopetria, Omodos
- For having the best private pools and luxury accommodations with coastal views in Cyprus: Paphos, Limassol, Ayia Napa
- For being more secluded and quiet (without too many tourists): Polis, Latchi, Pissouri
- For honeymoon: Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca
- With kids and close to the beach with amenities: Protaras, Ayia Napa, Coral Bay
- With seniors or disabled persons: avoid locations with steep inclines or lots of stairs – choose places like Larnaca, Limassol, or Nicosia and ask the hotels about accessibility
